Peter U asked: This way I will eliminate the $120,000 I owe on my 1st mortgage and grab $100,000 cash off the equity loc. They can have my house and ruin my credit for $220,000. This cannot be legal is it? I really wouldn’t do this but my wife may.

mom2abigsis asked: Okay, so we have gone through the process to buy a home…preapproved through a bank for a mortgage loan, found a home, did the offer, and the inspection was just finished Friday. Our closing day is June 20th and in the beginning of May we went on vacation and fixed something where we currently live that used our credit limit of $1000. Our realtor said the next credit check the bank will do will be 24 hours prior to closing. Will the credit card keep our loan from going through?
Yes, this is our only credit card.

tonip1963 asked: I am trying to invest in real estate. I have found a property and even had a lawyer look at the investment, which she found to be a good find. The property is 42,000 and I am sure I can get it for 37,000. COMPS in the area have sold between 100,000-145,000 in the past 18 months.
My credit scores are all between 630 and 660. I do not have a high verifiable income, although I can verify some. I can afford payments of around 500-600 (PITI). I would also like to borrow for the fix-up. I have 5,000 down payment and would like 55,000. I am willing to pay higher interest rates, if I can get a no or low document verification loan for 55,000.
ANY MORTGAGE BROKERS OR LENDERS OUT THERE THAT WANT TO HELP?

….. asked: The monthly interest on her credit card is 1.5%, the monthly interest on her car loan is 1%, and the monthly interest on her mortgage is 0.6%. After one month, her total accumulated interest is $460.50. If the interest on Megan’s credit card bill was $4.50 more than the interest on her car loan, find the amount of each loan.

neworleanshawtie asked: I have paid off all delinquent things on my credit report and all I have on there is my carnote and my student loan which are both in good standing. I still have a low credit score which is what is damaging me right now. Any suggestions of lenders or companies that can assist me with purchasing a home?

Kayak Queen asked: There are credit issues and the loan package has gone to underwriters. We’ve been dangling for nearly 3 weeks without a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ on our loan status. We’re considering taking our data and seeking another mortgage company to service our loan, but we don’t know if the long wait is normal or if we’re being put on someone’s “back burner”. Are we being strung along or just impatient?
Thanks for all the answers! We were able to resolve the problem today!

loulu asked: Many years ago when my husband divorced his ex-wife, he was self-empoyed and missed several payments. Four years ago, he filed necessary documentation to have the arrears included with his monthly payments, increasing his payments monthly to include an additional $100. After four years, the Texas Attorney General’s office is showing it outstanding and consistently late. We are trying to purchase our first home but are having trouble getting the financing as his FICO score is reflecting this issue. What can we do to get around this issue and get approved? We have documentation that shows he is current on child support and current on the agreement to pay arrears.

angelablnt asked: I have had credit trouble in the past. I am now trying to rebuild. I am finding it hard to get a mortgage loan or a major credit card. I have read stories about people getting loans with credit scores lower than mine. I found National City bank on a web site with stephen’s life after bankruptcy newsletter. Where are people getting these loans, with low credit scores. I live in Alabama. I can’t get a bank loan. I am not in bankruptcy. Please tell me the names of the mortgage companies that can work with me. I have read stories where people credit score is in the 500’s. They are buying cars and homes right after they file bankrupt. Thank you
Gladys
