e.sillery asked: I filed bankruptcy about 4 years ago and my credit has been raising slowly. I pulled my credit report and found two medical collections against me that were not mine. I contacted the proper people and they agreed to remove them. Only one was removed and I have been trying for 6 months to get the other off. I have a letter stating they both were to be removed, but when applying for a mortgage online they pull my credit report and see a collection against me.
My debt to income ratio is pretty low so I sould qualify for a home purchase loan, but I have been turned down by my credit union.
Who offers home loans for people with credit problems?

theflynnmom asked: My husband and I are preapproved for a home loan scheduled to close in about 45 days. We are currently late on a credit card payment because we put down “earnest” money for our new home. We are going to make a payment to get current on all of our credit cards this week. Our loan officer said she will wait until we are current before submitting our final info to the mortgage lender. Are we likely to be denied the loan as a result of late credit card payments so close to closing?

Tameeka asked: We’re in our 50’s, with a house that’s worth twice of what’s left to pay off on our mortgage. We were hoping to use the equity for our son’s college in a couple of years, or as a retirement cushion, but want to pay off some MAJOR credit card burdens. Any advice?

karma l asked: looking to get home loan, my relative has both excellent credit score of 790 and has income of about $ 2100 monthly and my relative has documents like pay checks and tax return documents to prove his income. I myself too have very good credit score of 756 and I do a self job and can’t prove my income as I don’t have any documentations to prove income.
Will that be a problem to us for getting approved for a loan amount of about $250k?
I am going to file tax return very soon so I can prove my imcome to home loan lender.
Will we both be subject to income verification despite the very good credit score?
What do we need for approval process? documentations?

Charlie M asked: Me and my wife recently bought i home, i have a 720 credit score but not established credit, couldn’t be co applicant for the home, anyway we got appoved for the loan. What i was wondering is will my credit score increase if i make mortgage payments on time, or will it stay at a crawl. I have never owned any credit card. Or built any line of credit.
